Against the Flows of Time
Oh the weave and wind of endless time,
In which we all are entwined,
Powerless against its flows,
Our short life comes and goes,
People’s paths they often cross,
And all those we know are gain and loss,
Some wonderful people we get to know,
But ever aware that someday they’ll go,
And then there is you…
So often before have our paths met,
Time after time I shall never forget,
The friendship we made was genuine and true,
And we both thought “I’m glad to have met you,”
So long did this friendship endure,
That we each secretly wished it could be more,
And then on some distant day,
We realized that we both f
The weave and wind
Of a tangled mind
With thoughts that sought to confuse him
"What is he?
What is she?
What are you?
The one who be?"
"Can you answer?
Can you tell?
Can you envision?
The questions to quell?"
"Will you try?
Dare you venture?
Into this web,
Will you fly?"
Tangled chaos,
Clumped mess,
What is this?
This unkempt tress?
Can I answer?
Can I tell?
Can I envision?
How these questions I quell?
One by one,
These questions I tackle
One by one,
The answers I find
Now the fibers begin to settle,
Now the storm begins to cease,
Now my mind finds it's peace
In a wonderful release
Again I look,

Throughout life there are many different people
Some wise, some not
Some are rich and famous,
Some only have their name,
Some people hold great power,
They can affect untold numbers,
Others command no one,
With power only from their own hands
Who is the greater?
Whose life means less?
Can anyone tell?
In the end we are all mortal,
In the end everyone dies.
What a world I see
A world filled with darkness
Where I can hardly do anything right
And what I do is worthless
The people around me
Have hearts as black as tar
And the evil that I see
Has become common for me
The streets are dark
And the colors dingy
The sun doesn't shine
As bright as it should be
This is the world I see
After I've looked around me
But what's this
Something unseen before
Light creeps in the corners
The corners of the shade
What lies behind?
Up they fly with a flash of light
Blinded by the great light
In shock my eyes clamp shut
Again consumed by familiar darkness
Slowly they open

Within us all,
Is great power,
Power of wondrous light,
Or a force of chaotic night,
We can be just and fair,
And use our power for others,
To save the lives of many,
To make us sisters and brothers,
We can be cruel and selfish,
Taking the best for ourselves,
To destroy any in our way,
Just to brighten our day,
Inside every soul,
Lies great dark and great light,
The power to destroy or to save,
In the center of your being,
Always both will exist,
One in one hand and one in the other,
Both to be used at will,
For the purpose that you so choose,
So what hand shall be yours?
A hand of black pitch?
Or a hand of white light?
Blessings
A man walks home,
Happy and content,
For he has all he needs,
And many things he wants,
His house is comfortable,
His food is delicious,
His wallet is never empty,
And he is extremely thankful,
But when he returns home,
He sees it is set ablaze,
Flames rolling throughout the house,
And he is stricken with shock,
All the possessions he had,
All the things he own,
Are now being consumed by fire,
Bright orange and yellow dancing flames,
Now he walks to a new home,
Saddened and upset,
For many things he had are gone,
And no luxuries remain,
His apartment is small,
And his food is dry,
His wallet is empty,
And he
Precious Time
Time
What is it to you?
Is just some thing that passes you by?
Or is it something you wont let slide?
The time we have is never enough,
We always want to do more and more,
So that is why we must never let it slip by,
Why we must cherish every moment,
Some times are good,
Some times are bad,
And some can be terrible,
As well as joyous,
Though there are ups and downs,
And pains in the pleasures,
We must accept them,
For there is no one without the other,
Having no bad means no good,
No sad means no happy,
Learn to accept one with the other,
And to enjoy the moments you have,
For when that mom
The Lonely Road
I walk a lonely road,
a road full of pain and strife,
to destroy any evil sewed,
A path I'll follow all my life,
Why such a path that i choose?
Have I left many of you confused?
The path of the guardian of the protector,
Sacrificing myself so others have something to live for,
I walk this lonely road I've lain,
I walk this road of pain and strife,
Out of the love of my brothers and sister's,
So they may never know this pain.
Light like a firefly
Light like a firefly,
Intensity as the sun,
So easy to pass by,
Yet its meaning is equal to none,
A light so small,
A beacon so abundant,
You catch one for a little while,
And hold on to its light,
But the light will not last,
It will leave,
Or it will die,
Then the search starts again,
Now you go,
To find the light once more,
But it too will fade,
Again and again,
The cycle will continue,
Until the holy light is found,
The light that wont die,
The beacon that wont leave,
The light of salvation
Losses
In life
Most have a family
Most have people they love
People that care
Between them
Theres a great love they share
Yet as time passes
They start to dim
Fading into nothingness
Fading from peoples lives
Alas,
There is always sadness
When the last of their life has gone
Eventually they die
And disappear almost entirely
But there is one thing that wont fade
All the lives touched
All the deeds done
The memory of a life will never leave this world
Holy messengers
Divine workers
Godly warriors
Pure souls
They never die
They just leave one world
To wait for you in another
Though the loss is terrible

What is Life?
Life is a common thing,
One that is shared by all,
But life is viewed as cheap,
When its value is above all,
Because people are stupid,
It is wasted by many,
Thrown away without a moments thought,
All conceded to think they can be bought,
Life is precious,
It can be beautiful,
It can be horrid,
It can be sinful,
It can be pure,
But it is all up to you,
Let no one tell you different,
Life is what one makes,
No redoes or retakes

The Kindness of a Stranger
The Kindness of a Stranger
Most of us have busy lives
Were going from place to place
Always on the move
Passing everything by
Thats usually the case
But then you see a little bird
Shes lying on the walk
Hurt and lonely
And no one spares a word
You see this frail bird
This lonely robin
And you save her
You take her under your wing
And become her friend
You tend to her wounds
You listen to her cry
You make her all better
So you can see her fly
You loved that little robin
But had to let her go
So you set her free
And are joyous yet sad
You are happy yet lonely
You see her soar into the distance
And your
Strength
What does it mean to be strong?
When someones fast?
When someones powerful?
Or skilled with abilities that last?
What is strong?
Being truly strong
Doesnt depend on strength or skill
But the power of love and will
Someone who is caring
Even with adversity unfailing
A person able to feel love
And reach out
When those around them
Only scream and shout
Is it strong to be swift mighty or great?
Or rather to show love and care
Against such contempt and hate
It takes such strength to bear
So now I ask
Are you strong?
Loving Prayers
Its something I do every day
I say my prayers and my thanks
I thank god for what I can do and say
And for the meadows and banks
But there is one thing
One that is always there
One thing Ill never forget
That is the love I share
I thank him that I do
For every moment I think of you
Is a look back at the precious way
We spent our never-ending day
The laugh that was my choir
The smile on your face
Are things that I cherish
And nothing can replace
So again this day
I thank god for the way
He sent me my angel
And more than I dared to pray

back from alaska for a few days now. had a lot of fun, and did a lot of fun stuff like ATVing, horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, exploring, watched an airshow, and stuff like that. so it was a good trip. :)
Well my family is taking a vacation in alaska, and that's where i am now. we're planning to go fishing, kyaking, and lots of other things. things are going pretty rough though, they're just not going as planned. i'm sure the vacation will be a good one though. I plan to enjoy it as much as possible :)
